Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. I offer a free 15-minute video or in-person consultation to make sure we’re a good fit before you commit to therapy. We will briefly talk through what you’re experiencing, discuss how my approach can help, and answer any questions you have. It’s zero-pressure—you can take all the time you need to decide if you want to schedule an initial session.
-
Absolutely. If you have a quick question about logistics, scheduling, or insurance before setting up a call, feel free to reach out directly. You can call or text me at (385) 440-0858, email me at jared@jaredrichcounseling.com, or submit a note through the contact form below, and I’ll get back to you within one business day.
Keep in mind that the free 15-minute video consultation is designed to be an open Q&A—there is no expectation to commit to ongoing sessions during that call.

Yes. I offer secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth sessions for individuals and couples anywhere in Utah. Online therapy is just as effective as meeting in person, while making it more accessible for many.

I do not offer weekend or evening appointments. My office hours run during the day, with my final session of the day scheduled to conclude by 5:30 PM. I do offer telehealth, which can make daytime appointments feasible for many clients who don’t have the flexibility to take time off of work during the day.

My office is located in Murray at 5645 S Waterbury Way, Suite D150, Murray, UT 84121, just off Van Winkle Expressway near 5600 S. The office park offers quiet surroundings, ample free parking, and easy access from I-215, making it a convenient drive from Salt Lake City, Holladay, Cottonwood Heights, and Sandy. If you are outside the Salt Lake area or prefer not to commute, I also provide secure telehealth sessions to clients across Utah.

Because I am licensed as an LMFT specifically in the state of Utah, legal and ethical licensing regulations require that clients be physically located within Utah during our sessions.
